This is a hybrid instrument of my own creation. The sound is similar to that of the donsongoni (guitar used by hunters in west Africa). I’ve added 2 strings with a lower pitch so that this instrument can be played in the same octave as a kamalengoni.
Play this instrument in a group to enhance its potential.

I created this instrument, my first, for Abou Diarra. We made the neck together and thanks to his experience in the field, I was able to learn about the spaces between the strings and the mechanical placements on the neck.
Even though this instrument has more strings, it is still easy to play and has the potential to play a very large range of melodies. It is, without a doubt, an excellent choice for Music Therapy.

C’est un instrument hybride de ma création. En fait, il s’apparente fort dans sa sonorité au donsongoni (guitare des chasseurs de l’afrique de l’ouest), auquel j’ai rajouté 2 cordes plus graves pour être situé à l’octave des kamalengonis.
L’instrument prend vraiment son potentiel en accompagnement.
